About The Position
The Building Maintenance Technician at Ideal Tridon will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the value of the company's assets through various maintenance functions. This position requires a commitment to service and quality, aligning with Ideal Tridon's reputation as a global leader in fastening solutions and related products. The technician will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards and government regulations as outlined in the Ideal-Tridon Quality Manual and Quality Management System. This includes adhering to health, safety, and environmental guidelines while performing maintenance tasks. In this role, the technician will be tasked with shutting down machine operations when quality, safety, or environmental issues arise, and will have the authority to remove equipment from service when necessary. The technician will also maintain confidentiality regarding company, supplier, and customer information. Daily responsibilities will include performing maintenance activities to ensure that the Smyrna facilities operate efficiently and meet quality requirements. The technician will maintain a clean and orderly workspace, complete labor tickets accurately, and identify and mitigate slip, trip, and fall hazards. The technician will engage in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, drywall installation and removal, and setting up cubicles. They will also be responsible for building shipping crates and moving equipment as needed. Compliance with the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System is essential, and the technician may be assigned other related duties as necessary. This position requires a mechanically inclined individual with strong problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
