We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Building Envelope Technician to join our team. This position involves performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of building exteriors, including window caulking, brick pointing, sealing, and waterproofing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and building maintenance, with a focus on exterior surfaces. This role will also serve as the job lead, responsible for training others and managing daily field operations. As a Building Envelope Technician, you will perform window caulking to seal gaps and prevent water infiltration, conduct brick pointing to repair and restore the mortar between bricks, and apply various sealing techniques to protect building surfaces from moisture damage. You will execute waterproofing tasks to ensure the integrity of building exteriors and inspect and assess building envelope conditions to identify areas needing repair or maintenance. Additionally, you will prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed, and use hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. It is essential to ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area. You will also communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met, keep accurate records of work performed and materials used, and identify and report any additional building service needs to management. In this role, you will lead and supervise field operations, acting as a site superintendent, and train and mentor other team members in building envelope techniques and best practices. You will also develop high-level pricing and scope creation for projects.
