Our Gulf Coast team is seeking an Entry-Level Building Envelope Consultant to join our team. This hands-on role is designed for individuals looking to grow into advanced positions within building envelope consulting, including Registered Roof Observer (RRO), Registered Exterior Wall Observer (REWO), and ultimately consultant-level credentials and experience. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a long-term career in building envelope consulting, restoration, and forensic evaluation knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related science field, or currently pursuing.
  • Strong interest in roofing, waterproofing, and facade systems.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on field work in outdoor environments.
  • Basic understanding of construction documents and terminology preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field data collection including measurements, photo documentation, and condition surveys of roofing and exterior wall systems.
  • Assist with building envelope testing such as moisture surveys, water intrusion investigations, and non-destructive evaluations.
  • Perform construction observation and quality assurance activities to verify compliance with construction documents and manufacturer requirements.
  • Assist with preparation of construction documents including plan production, details, and project manuals.
  • Document field observations in an accurate, clear and organized manner for use in technical reports.
  • Assist senior consultants with site inspections, condition assessments, and forensic evaluations / hypothesis.
  • Support preparation of reports, exhibits, and photo logs.
  • Maintain and properly utilize field equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
