About The Position

Internships and Co-Ops at Gresham Smith provide students with the opportunity to develop real-world skills in an environment that supports personal and professional growth. As an Engineering Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on exposure to the design and delivery of real-world projects, applying classroom knowledge, building technical skills, and learning how multidisciplinary teams collaborate. Many of our interns have gone on to continue their careers with us as full-time employees after graduation.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or holding a 2-year college/technical degree, bachelor’s in Applied Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting/ Design, or related field is preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Revit
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and show curiosity and initiative.
Effective time management, task prioritization, and professional organization.
Students who hold F-1, OPT, or H1-B visas are eligible for consideration.

Responsibilities

Assist with drawings, calculations, and project documentation.
Collaborate with the team to maintain comprehensive contract documents—including drawings, diagrams, plans, and details—in line with Gresham Smith’s design standards.
Conduct research, gather data, and help prepare reports and cost estimates.
Collaborate with team members while learning about the project delivery process.
