About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that the employee’s assigned building's critical systems and equipment are maintained to manufacturer's specifications as well as the organization’s maintenance standards by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • knowledge of: tablets, smart phones, and software associated with work order and maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Operates, inspects and maintains assigned building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, assuring that equipment is maintained in an energy efficient and safe manner.
  • Complies with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
  • Recognizes danger and safety hazards and proposes methods to eliminate and maintains a working knowledge of common hand tools use for routine maintenance and repair of above mentioned systems.
  • Communicates findings in the performance of assigned work with supervisors and fellow employees and documents maintenance and repairs made to the above mentioned systems.
  • Maintains working knowledge of lock out/tag out equipment.
  • Responds to tenant and client requests in a professional manner. Issues unable to be resolved are reported immediately to a supervisor.
  • Responds effectively and promptly to all emergencies.
  • Provides staffing and coverage for "on call" rotation on specified weekends and covers several properties during that weekend period starting at 5:00 pm Friday until 6:00 am Monday morning.
