About The Position

Nightwing is seeking a motivated Facilities Building Engineer to join our team. The Building Engineer will be part of a facilities team providing support to several campus buil dings. The Engineer will learn and work closely with Senior Facilities Lead delivering overall daily and preventative building and property maintenance . The ideal Engineer will possess a broad range of general maintenance skills which include a thorough understanding of safety practices and facilities systems. The Building Engineer must be able to solve problems and be able to speak across different stakeholders to include vend or partners.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical trade school certification
  • 5+ years of experience in building maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of building systems
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor
  • Ability to provide written and verbal communication across multiple audience types
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Comprehensive training and certification in HVAC or Operation Engineering Technologies and/ or equivalent job-related training and experience
  • Licenses(s) for applicable jurisdiction and equipment
  • Computer skills necessary to operate Building Automation Systems
  • K nowledge of OSHA, NEC, and NFC codes and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, and security systems
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assess the building for potential safety hazards
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Monitor building equipment for proper function ality
  • Prepare building maintenance and repairs documentation
  • Understand and apply required safety and health regulations
  • Coordinate warranty and repair service requests with vendors
