About The Position

The Building Engineer I at Icicle Village Resort is responsible for maintaining the building's physical, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role ensures the security, cleanliness, preventive maintenance, and repair of all engineering department tools, equipment, and safety features are in accordance with established procedures. The engineer will also maintain clean and orderly maintenance and engineering storerooms and workspaces, complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner, and provide effective communication regarding any issues or concerns. The position may require working evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• CPO certification, preferred.
• Three to six months customer service experience, preferred.
• Knowledge and ability to operate tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Ability to perform patching, caulking, painting, or staining of various surfaces.
• Ability to read temperature gauges, utility meters, etc.
• Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, and understanding units of measurement.
• Ability to read and speak English fluently.
• Ability to perform physically strenuous work across a large property.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks.
• Basic computer skills such as typing and email correspondence.
• Bilingual Spanish/English, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the building's physical, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ensures the security, cleanliness, preventive maintenance, and repair of all engineering department tools, equipment, and safety features.
• Keeps maintenance and engineering storerooms and workspaces clean and orderly.
• Completes delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Reports and addresses unsafe conditions immediately.
• Assists in maintenance of grounds as needed.
