BUILDING ENCLOSURE PROJECT MANAGER (ENGINEER) Giles Flythe Engineers, Inc. is looking for a Building Enclosure Project Manager (Engineer) with a minimum of five years of experience in building envelope consulting for various residential, commercial, and industrial projects. THE WORK YOU WILL PERFORM: Perform on-site field investigations of existing buildings or structures, including repair of failing building envelope systems. Design and evaluation of building envelope systems. Develop technical specifications and scope of work for building envelope new and repair projects which comply with industry standards. Solicit and review bids from contractors to perform project work. Review drawings to ensure compliance with technical specifications. Perform construction administration inspections pre-construction, during construction, and post-construction. Management of client services and development including: preparing proposals and cost estimates, communicating project progress, technical discussion of findings and recommendations, and project close-out. Perform property condition assessments of commercial real estate. Perform capital reserve studies for community associations. Effectively and professionally communicate in writing and verbally with clients, including homeowners, property owners, contractors, engineers, and architects. Routine travel will be expected to project locations within the region.
