Requirements

  • B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET accredited college/university preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant building facilities consulting experience required.
  • Licensed or certified as at least one of the following preferred: Professional Engineer (P.E.), Registered Architect (R.A.), International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) offered RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP, or University of Wisconsin–Madison offered BECxP and CxA+BE.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects involving inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning of building enclosures for existing structures.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality consulting solutions to a diverse range of facilities and clients.
  • Provide testing and consulting services for the built environment, property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and design of repairs to existing structures.
  • Manage projects including but not limited to inspections of building enclosures, building enclosure testing, building enclosure assessments, air leakage testing, construction quality assurance observations, roofing assessments, design specification review, field performance testing, and building enclosure commissioning consulting.
  • Exhibit responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self-motivation.
  • Conduct occasional field and laboratory testing.
  • Interact with senior staff members on a variety of projects.
  • Prepare reports and proposals.
  • Maintain and develop a client database.
  • Manage budgets and prepare invoices.
  • Mentor other staff.
  • Promote a safe workplace and proper use of PPE.
