About The Position
The County of San Luis Obispo Planning and Building Department is seeking an experienced leader with a strong knowledge of California Building code regulations to serve as the Building Deputy Director. This opportunity is for someone who is driven and motivated by the desire to do impactful work for the community. Under direction, the Deputy Director will plan, organize and direct Building Division operations and activities, which is a major organizational segment of the department. They will use their leadership experience to coordinate and direct personnel, resources, projects and communications to meet community and department needs. The Deputy Director may also serve as the County's Chief Building Officer.
