About The Position

Soldier Hollow Nordic Center is home to a state-of-the-art biathlon range that was used for the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympic Games. The facility also features a 31-kilometer trail system for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, as well as mountain biking and hiking in the summer. It is a dynamic multi-use facility focused on developing and growing participation in winter sports in Utah. As a part of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation, our mission is to cultivate champions in sport and in life, deliver experiences that inspire communities, and celebrate our Olympic Legacy for years to come. Under the supervision of the Guest Services Manager, the Building Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the buildings at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center. This position focuses on daily cleaning tasks to ensure a pristine and welcoming environment for guests, athletes, and community members.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Flexible work schedule – may need to work late and weekend hours.
• Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Hearing - to converse with others in a normal conversation.
• Balancing, bending, climbing, kneeling, walking, pushing, reaching above shoulders, and sitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of floors, furniture, fixtures, and windows to maintain a clean and presentable environment.
• Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
• Address spills, damages, or maintenance needs promptly while keeping all facility areas safe and functional.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring equipment is operational and stocked appropriately.
• Follow safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment, and report hazards or incidents to the Guest Services Manager.
• Complete all required in-house training.
• All other job responsibilities as assigned.
