About The Position

The Water and Sanitation Licensed Operator position involves enforcing the 2018 IRC and IBC Code as a Building Code Official. This role requires the individual to exercise legally mandated authority to administer, enforce, and interpret all adopted construction codes, ensuring compliance during permit issuance, inspections, and plan examinations.

Requirements

• At least ten (10) years of experience as an architect, engineer, inspector, contractor, or a combination of these, with five (5) years of supervisory experience.
• IBC certification through a recognized certification program or ability to complete certification during a probationary period.
• Valid Colorado Drivers License, criminal background check, and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Administer and enforce all adopted construction codes.
• Interpret construction codes and ensure compliance.
• Oversee permit issuance, inspections, and plan examinations.
