About The Position
Constellation Schools are seeking a highly-qualified Building Cleaner in Cleveland, Ohio, responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building. Responsibilities of the Building Cleaner include ensuring cleanliness of restrooms by emptying trash, mopping and disinfecting floors, cleaning and disinfecting sinks, cleaning and disinfecting mirrors, cleaning and disinfecting toilets, urinals, and pipes, replenishing soap, tissue, and paper towel supplies, periodically checking that restroom fixtures are in proper working order, cleaning doors and partitions, spot cleaning walls and ceiling, cleaning baseboards, cleaning radiators or vents, and cleaning light fixtures. The Building Cleaner also ensures cleanliness of classrooms by vacuuming carpeted areas, sweeping and wet and dry mopping floors, emptying trash, cleaning sinks and faucets (if applicable), cleaning windows and glass on doors, dusting ledges and other surfaces as applicable, cleaning shades or blinds, and cleaning ceiling fans. Additionally, the cleaner ensures hallways, entries, common areas, and utility areas are clean by sweeping/dust mopping, vacuuming entryway carpets, cleaning and disinfecting drinking fountains, dusting ledges, display cases, cleaning windows and door glass, cleaning fixtures, mopping floors, and disinfecting lockers. The role also includes cleaning office areas, monitoring the building for issues, assisting with cleaning of student illness related fluids, modeling appropriate behavior, organizing custodial inventory, removing minor debris from the grounds, ensuring proper storage and use of cleaning products, completing assigned training, and handling other duties as assigned.
