About The Position

The Building Automation Systems (BAS) Engineering Manager will oversee the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and optimization of building management systems within our data centers. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in BAS, HVAC, electrical systems, and data center operations. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in building automation systems, preferably in a data center environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and data center infrastructure.
• Proficiency in BAS software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports.

Nice To Haves

• 15 years of relevant technical experience with Building Automation Systems.
• 10 years of BMS project management experience.
• BMS/EPMS system design and bidding experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the building management systems, including HVAC, electrical, and other critical infrastructure.
• Continuously monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to BMS, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to data center operations.
• Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Lead and manage BAS-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and expansions.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
• Provide guidance and training to the facilities team on BAS operations and best practices.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of system operations, project progress, and any issues encountered.
