The BAS Sales Engineer at Convergentz will serve as a technical sales consultant, focusing on the design, application, and sale of Open Protocol Building Automation systems for various types of buildings. This role emphasizes building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, including engineers, architects, and developers, while leveraging technical expertise to influence system design and specifications.

  • Aggressively pursues building automation controls sales using initiative and technical skills.
  • Gains and maintains strong customer relationships by improving technical knowledge.
  • Develops relationships with key players in customer organizations, including engineers and management.
  • Influences the design and specification of Open Protocol Building Automation Systems.
  • Responds to customer needs by identifying systems and products, generating quotes, and closing orders.
  • Conducts customer visits and events to build relationships with key personnel.
  • Delivers formal presentations and training sessions to customers.
  • Maintains accurate customer data and activity tracking in the Company CRM Program.
  • Participates in community professional organizations to enhance skills and relationships.
  • Manages plan and specification takeoffs, selection, pricing, bidding, negotiating, and closing business.
  • Observes Company ethical and professional conduct policies.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends to achieve sales goals.
  • Advanced understanding of HVAC Building Automation Systems.
  • Knowledge of Distech Controls product line is a plus.
  • 5 years of experience in Building Automation Construction Sales.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
