About The Position

We are seeking a Project Manager with strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and a proven track record managing projects over $500,000. This role involves leading building automation projects from planning through completion. Familiarity with building automation or controls systems is a plus, but not required. Note: Candidates with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) project management backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. Your experience managing complex MEP systems translates well into building automation, and we provide training and support to help you transition.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Experience managing projects exceeding $500K.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with building automation or controls systems (e.g., DDC, BAS, Niagara, Tridium) is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience as an MEP Project Manager in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing construction will be considered highly transferable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Equivalent experience and/or relevant certifications will also be considered.
  • Ability to walk job sites for extended periods and navigate uneven ground and active construction conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs safely and frequently.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed to perform job tasks.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions typical of construction and building environments.
  • Use of standard office equipment (computer, phone) and basic hand tools when required.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) — hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe footwear.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of building automation projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Track budgets, schedules, change orders, and documentation.
  • Ensure project compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, engineers, and contractors.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and company leadership.
