About The Position

The Building Automation Project Manager will manage resources by planning, scheduling, and forecasting manpower and resource requirements. This role coordinates projects in accordance with contract documents and approved sales estimates. The Project Manager is responsible for managing all document control for projects, including but not limited to RFIs, meeting minutes, punch lists, transmittal logs, submittal logs, change order logs, and issues logs. They will prepare project billing revenue forecasts and schedules of values, review all estimates and change orders for accuracy, and approve all team project submittals. The individual will be accountable for financial management on all assigned projects, prepare installation subcontractor bidding documents, negotiate subcontracts, and maintain all project contract documents in accordance with Schneider Electric's quality policy. Additionally, they will prepare and update project schedules and cost estimates, deliver final project documentation to the customer, and collect payment. The Project Manager is also responsible for all customer-facing communication.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years in a Project Management Role
  • 5+ years in the controls industry
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of contracting procedures and tactics
  • Advanced understanding of HVAC control systems
  • Ability to analyze control system drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of contract law, codes, standards, and industry construction knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills including team leading and the ability to empower others through delegating responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents in accordance with Schneider Electric quality policy
  • Prepare and update project schedule and cost estimates
  • Prepare and deliver final project documentation to the customer and collect payment
  • Responsible for all customer-facing communication
