About The Position

This internship is for Summer 2026. As a Building Automation Intern, you will gain on-the-job experience and knowledge of the construction process. You will get a realistic job preview of the Building Automation System Specialist role and explore other career opportunities within the Building Automation team. You will gain hands-on experience in HVAC Controls while working alongside our Building Automation System Specialists on construction project sites. Your responsibilities will include performing testing and verification of mechanical systems, learning site-specific safety policies and procedures, and getting exposure to other departments to understand how your role impacts the business as a whole. This internship will allow you to translate concepts learned in the classroom to real-world experiences.

Requirements

• Must be a current student working toward a degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction, or a related field
• Interest in pursuing a career in the mechanical contracting/HVAC industry
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems: what they do and how they operate
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills required
