Job Summary Scope The Building Automation Controls Technician is responsible for completing service calls while maintaining positive client relations. Duties Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency service calls on existing BMS systems. Troubleshoot installations and correct deficiencies without direct supervision. Effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Monitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance standards are being achieved. Fine tune systems as new programs and sequences are developed. Identify opportunities for additional building enhancements and perform upgrades and/or small scale retrofits on existing systems. Perform building surveys and work with Service Manager on estimating additional work. Perform necessary software programming, equipment start-up, tuning and calibration and commissioning of BAS systems. Be proficient in knowledge of following equipment: VAVs, Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, Chiller Water Systems, and Lighting. Stay informed of industry developments for energy savings strategies. Effectively provide feedback to supervisor for ways to improve the installation process. Utilize Automated Logic’s Dealer website and stay current on technical data and solutions for existing problems and updates. Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by management. Travel Required up to 25%
