The Building Automation Controls Technician is responsible for completing service calls while maintaining positive client relations. This role involves completing scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency service calls on existing BMS systems, troubleshooting installations, and correcting deficiencies without direct supervision. The technician will effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Additionally, the technician will monitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance standards are being achieved, fine-tune systems as new programs and sequences are developed, and identify opportunities for additional building enhancements. Responsibilities also include performing building surveys, estimating additional work, and programming, tuning, and commissioning BAS systems. The technician must stay informed of industry developments for energy savings strategies and provide feedback for process improvements. Travel is required up to 25%.
