The Building Automation Controls Specialist provides comprehensive support to local offices, serving as the primary point of contact for after-hours support calls. You are responsible for responding to alarms, analyzing and troubleshooting systems remotely, and providing initial solutions. Utilizing cRSP remote services technology, you will interface with various teams and customers and generate reports to inform them on system performance. This role is suitable for experienced Field Service individuals seeking an office or remote-based environment. This is a 2nd shift position with hours from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, including weekends. Overtime is compensated, including a 10% shift differential.

  • Deliver remote technical support on Siemens proprietary products, including Desigo CC and Apogee Insight, utilizing various connection methods
  • Respond promptly to critical building alarms according to customer action plans, implementing necessary corrective actions
  • Offer operator coaching on communication requests as needed
  • Troubleshoot network, software, programming and building automation system malfunctions remotely via network connection or by telephone-based interaction with primary emphasis and knowledge of Siemens Building Automation Systems and integrated products
  • Utilize analytics for fault diagnosis and corrective measures
  • Operate Building Automation Control Systems (BACS)
  • Handle responsive, preventative, and proactive maintenance calls
  • Perform initial set-up, lifecycle maintenance, and corrective actions for Data Driven Services
  • Implement BACS optimization measures and programming
  • Maintain comprehensive activity, records, and service reporting documentation
  • Administer cRSP and CWP connections, as well as Navigator proxy installation and setup
  • Utilize diagnostic and performance tools, generating customer reports
  • Collect and report Proven Outcomes-based data
  • Manage online database backup tools and reports
  • Collaborate with customer IT administrators to install Siemens tools for data extraction or access to Siemens BACS systems for maintenance tasks
  • Minimum of 1 years of field experience installing and/or servicing Building Automation & Integrated Systems
  • Excellent knowledge of HVAC system mechanics/temperature controls
  • Basic knowledge of Fire Protection & Security Alarm systems
  • Experience in customer service call handling, dispatching, and service response in a related or technical industry
  • Strong customer service relations & communication skills needed to be assertive in acquiring the necessary information to aid internal & external clients
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, PC, and business software systems (i.e. SAP)
  • Ability to work during times of high call processing activity and time constraint demands
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
  • Experience with Siemens Integrations Systems, Building Automation Control Systems, networking, and energy management
