The Division of Facilities Management is a customer-driven support organization responsible for providing facilities management services to all CDHS agencies and offices. These services include the maintenance of building and grounds, custodial, capital construction (budgeting and contract management), utilities management, vehicle fleet management, building space leasing allocation, and facilities planning services. This is accomplished through a centralized statewide team that is divided into three districts and a central office. By combining our expert professional extensive facilities knowledge and strong commitment to reliable, responsive service, we enable our clients to achieve consistently high performance facilities, and long-term value. Our goal is to be an organization that meets customer expectations 100% of the time. The facilities managed by the Division of Facilities Management (DFM) include 1,400 acres of land and 349 buildings comprising 3.8 million square feet. Facilities served: Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo (CMHHIP), Pueblo Regional Center (PRC), Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Youth Services (Zeb Pike, Spring Creek and Pueblo Youth Services Center) and the Veteran's Community Living Centers in the Southern District. You are required to work at your assigned work location during your scheduled work times. Please note: Work arrangements are subject to change at any time. This position installs, maintains, and repairs the systems that control heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR). They may also program the systems that run HVAC in buildings. The HVAC Controls Technician supports troubleshooting and programming temperature control systems based on building specifications, as well as provides insights and recommendations that contribute to task completion. Using expertise in the commercial HVAC industry, this position performs installation, and emergency procedures. Additionally, this position serves as the work lead over the Pipe/Mech Trades II HVAC staff in Southern District DFM. The HVAC Controls Technician leads and is partially accountable for the Pipe/Mech Trades II in DFM's Southern District. This position supports, provides guidance to, and professionally develops the Pipe/Mech Trades II, as well as supports and takes the lead in training new staff. This position assigns tasks, monitor progress and workflows, check the product, schedule work, and establish work standards. As a work leader, this position provides input into supervisory decisions made at higher levels.
