About The Position

The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is the Catholic Church in Northeast Kansas: Growing as Disciples of Jesus; Making Disciples for Jesus. The Savior Pastoral Center is seeking to hire a part-time Building Attendant. This position is an onsite, live-in staff member who provides hospitality, security, maintenance and custodial services at the Savior Pastoral Center. This position will average 18-20 hours per week, and requires the ability to work evenings, weekends as needed and every other Saturday at the front desk.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years of maintenance, custodial or security experience preferred.
• Experience in basic maintenance knowledge.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with welcoming groups and other overnight guests.
• Assist the Pastoral Center office for scheduled evening activities and carries guest access cell phone to be answered when on duty.
• Check boiler rooms according to written instructions from Maintenance.
• Assist with guests needs while staying at the center.
• Inform and communicate with Director, maintenance and housekeeping staff.
• Complete building walk-through which include shutting off lights, checking restrooms and ensuring doors are locked.
• Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests.
• Any and all duties as assigned by Supervisor or a member of management.
