About The Position
The Fessenden School is an all-boys independent day and boarding school serving 540 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 9th Grade who come from all over the world. The Fessenden School’s mission is to cultivate each boy’s talents and develop in balance his character, mind, and body in an inclusive and joyful community. For more than 100 years, The Fessenden School has offered state-of-the-art facilities, curriculum, and programs specifically designed to meet the educational needs of boys. The Building & Grounds Seasonal Worker is responsible for the care and maintenance of the school grounds.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently
- Successful criminal background check and pre-employment physical examination
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling
- Must be physically able to operate power equipment weighing 50 to 80lbs
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Collect trash throughout campus
- Upkeep of the trash compactor area
- Police are all around the buildings and walkways for litter and trash
- Check and maintain swimming pools (seasonal)
- Weed, mulch, seed, mow, and water plants
- Rake and disposal of leaves (seasonal)
- Furniture moving, function set-ups
- Perform other duties as assigned
