About The Position

The Building and Grounds Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance for all facilities at the Corpus Christi International Airport, including both Public and Tenant areas, and promotes a clean and safe environment for public and private use.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months to One (1) year of related experience
  • A valid driver's license is required. Successful candidate must be able to attain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect restrooms to include trash removal, dusting, cleaning glass surfaces, sweeping, mopping, stripping and waxing floors
  • Sterilize restroom areas, replenish soap and paper dispensers, clean mirrors, sinks, walls, and toilet areas
  • Sweep and mop floors to remove dust, dirt, and debris
  • Remove all trash from receptacles in public and tenant areas
  • Gather, separate and store all recycle products from airport property
  • Maintain cleanliness of terminal entrance and curbside areas to include regular sweeping, removal of trash and debris from receptacles, and maintaining clean smoking areas
  • Ensure cleanliness of Airport escalators, elevators and stairwells
  • Move and arrange furniture for meetings and events as needed
  • Must be flexible to comply with special requests such as high dusting needs and washing terminal windows as needed
  • Maintain floor care such as carpet cleaning, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing all terminal and tenant areas
  • May be asked to perform other related duties as assigned
