About The Position

Great partnerships don’t happen by accident — they’re built. The Builder Relations Specialist is responsible for driving growth in termite pretreat services by developing relationships with home builders, contractors, and industry partners. This role combines business development, account management, and operational coordination to increase pretreat volume, strengthen builder partnerships, and create long-term customer relationships with new homeowners.

Requirements

  • Sales experience (preferably in B2B or construction-related industries).
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and in-person prospecting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings for association meetings.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and other CRM systems (AS/400 experience preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Pest control or construction industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and cold call residential and commercial builders to generate new termite pretreat opportunities.
  • Attend builder association meetings, networking opportunities, and select industry events outside of regular business hours.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the home building community.
  • Identify and pursue bid opportunities on new construction projects.
  • Actively grow and manage a strong sales pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline records within AS/400.
  • Track all leads, bids, proposals, and awarded jobs.
  • Provide forecasting and reporting on pretreat opportunities.
  • Ensure smooth handoff between sales and operations once jobs are secured.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for builder accounts after the sale.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with builders regarding scheduling, job changes, and service quality.
  • Resolve concerns quickly and professionally to protect long-term relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for expanded services within builder accounts.
  • Assist in welcoming new homeowners into the Terminix family once the home closes.
  • Support conversion of pretreats into long term customers through pest control, termite renewals, and other services we offer.
  • Educate homeowners on additional services such as pest control, mosquito control, insulation, moisture control, etc.
  • Partner with customer care and field teams to maximize lifetime customer value.
  • Represent the company professionally within the local building community.
  • Help refine and improve the builder relations program.
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding pricing, processes, and competitive activity.
