About The Position

In this role as Builder IV at Oakwood Homes, you will be responsible for managing and driving daily job-site activities while providing expertise in production, construction, and customer experience. Your primary goal will be to ensure that your team delivers an impeccable customer experience while completing homes on time, within budget, and to Oakwood's high-quality standards. You will cultivate the best construction team in the country by setting clear goals, building effective teams, and driving results based on Oakwood Homes' Core Values: Integrity, People First Attitude, Customer Focus, Adaptability, and Passion. You will be proactive in driving outcomes aligned with the business unit's goals, understanding the big picture, and starting each project with the end in mind. A high level of integrity in reporting and a daily focus on CPR accuracy will be essential. You will work closely with trade partners to create a win-win experience for all involved and coordinate community kick-offs while collaborating with the Land Department on lot turnovers. Your role will also involve driving 45-day survey results by attending 30-day homeowner follow-up meetings with customer care. To improve the overall quality of finished homes, you will provide feedback to your team on every home via management acceptance walks. Supporting your team will include ensuring that weekly safe site reports are completed accurately, implementing appropriate training based on Oakwood Construction standards, and identifying professional development goals. You will also be responsible for reviewing time-off requests promptly and ensuring that all performance processes are completed in a timely manner. As a Builder IV, you will oversee the overall quality and appearance of model complexes, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate expectations clearly to your team, holding them accountable. You will assist in developing indirect construction budgets and drive teams to meet or exceed budgeted goals. Collaboration with customers, government agencies, and the public will be crucial in creating a positive community environment. You will be the go-to person for resolving difficult issues and will set the standard for a value-based approach to solutions. Additionally, you will perform related projects as assigned and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
