About The Position

About the Role As a Cook, you will assist in the service and display of high-quality food for our buffets during the Regency Room buffet service. You will play an important role in helping us deliver exceptional dining experiences that reflect seasonal ingredients and the unique concept of our restaurant. The AM shift will be 5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., and you must have weekend and holiday availability. This is a full-time role that will be split between buffet room duties and line cook responsibilities. Requirements

  • 1–2 years of previous experience preferred in a professional kitchen environment or actively seeking a culinary education.
  • At least 6 months of experience in full operational kitchen with willingness to learn
  • Active food handler’s certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Flexibility to perform both buffet room duties and line cook tasks as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Desire to exceed expectations.
  • Energetic personality.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, maintain, and break down breakfast and lunch buffets.
  • Operate the omelet/egg station, carving stations, and rotating action stations.
  • Gain hands-on experience with knife handling and kitchen equipment.
  • Prepare workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
  • Prep ingredients, including chopping vegetables and cutting meats.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all food items.
  • Support the culinary team with high-quality preparation and attention to ingredient quality.
  • Responsibilities will alternate between managing the buffet room and supporting line cook needs in the main kitchen.
