What you'll get to do (and learn!): Support Budget Operations: Help with the day-to-day tasks that keep our budget office running smoothly, like data entry, processing financial documents, and maintaining records. Assist with Analysis: Learn how to pull reports and gather financial data that our Budget Analysts use to make important decisions. Be a Data Detective: Help ensure the accuracy of our financial information. You'll be a pro at catching details. Team Up: Work closely with other budget professionals, learning from their expertise and contributing to a collaborative environment. Grow Your Skills: We'll provide training on budget processes, financial software, and the ins and outs of government finance. What we're looking for: Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. Comfortable working with numbers and basic math. Good communication skills – you're ready to learn and ask questions. Requirements

  • Equivalent to an associate's degree; and One (1) year of experience
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and basic math.
  • Good communication skills – you're ready to learn and ask questions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, or a willingness to learn quickly.
  • A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow in a professional environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Data Visualization skills
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience communicating clearly and concisely, written and verbal
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting and fiscal-related laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
