About The Position

Position Title: Budget Analyst. Department: Provost's Office Classification: Exempt. FTE: 0.92. Work Schedule: 37 hours per week, hours to be worked between Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Work Location: On Campus. Salary Range: $52,000 – 58,000. Essential Job Duties: Budget management and analytics. Plan and carry out budget procedures for the division. Generate reports and analyses for the Provost, Finance, and Associate Deans of the College. Work with offices, programs and departments in the planning, monitoring and management of budgets. Track endowment funds and revenues, provide reports for Advancement. Track and advise on uses of grant and gift funds; provide information to Business Office. Assist Associate Deans, department chairs, and academic administrative assistants. Respond to finance and budget-related inquiries and requests, explain policies and procedures. Prepare budget related materials. Provide training for new chairs, Associate Deans, etc. Administrative support for the Office of the Provost. Assist in the development of multi-year forecast estimates for Academic department expenditures. Maintain databases. Provide back-up and assistance to department administrative staff to include: database administration, faculty recruitment and appointments, administrative and general office support, event planning, special projects, etc. Maintain and update websites. Prepare projections upon request for various accounts and/or projects. Reconcile purchase cards for direct reports of Associate Deans and Provost. Process reimbursement requests. Manage online access to individual accounting units and endowed funds. Special projects and other duties as assigned. Manage faculty professional development funds and travel grants. Review and approve invoices and expense reports related to faculty development. Allocate and monitor funding for professional development. Other Duties. Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community. Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance or business

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance
