About The Position

Serve as the primary Budget & Procurement Analyst supporting the CE&I – Federal Civilian Agencies (FCA)Transportation team by managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for project-related goods and services. Develop, maintain, and monitor project and departmental budgets; prepare forecasts, variance analyses, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting for leadership. Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensure accurate coding, timely approvals, and on-time vendor payments. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations; support internal and external audits as needed. Identify and implement process improvements and cost-savings opportunities across procurement and budget workflows. Collaborate with project managers, finance, legal, and other stakeholders to support project delivery and financial controls.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Permanent Resident or US Citizen due to nature of client engagement.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, supply chain/procurement, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in budgeting, procurement, or a financial analyst role supporting projects or operations within Government or Management Consulting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration, and vendor management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Google suite.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce clear financial reports and variance analyses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to work onsite in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location.

  • Experience implementing process improvements or procurement transformation initiatives.
