This position exists to provide professional budget, personnel, and other liaison functions to staff within the Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC). This position initiates, processes, and facilitates various budget procedures including, but not limited to, formulating annual budget for programs/Divisions, projecting/forecasting and monitoring staffing costs, Universal Preschool Program rate setting forecasting, and accurately tracking funding allocations and expenditures, and budget to actual reporting for the Division's program leadership. This position supports a Division or Division(s) within the Department and other duties as assigned. In collaboration with the CDEC Divisions, Finance, Procurement and Contracts, and the DEDO/CFO, works to ensure that CDEC does not incur disallowed/questioned costs. This position reports to the department's Budget Director.
