About The Position
The Department of Forestry (DOF) is seeking a qualified Budget Officer to manage the agency budget process. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and day-to-day administration of the agency's operating and capital budgets. The incumbent provides ongoing monitoring and analysis, periodic budget performance reporting for the agency's management team, and conducts special studies and analyses related to management of the budget and long-range financial planning. Provides analytical assistance and problem-solving support to the agency. This position provides leadership for various state budget requirements, including development of state funding requests, preparation of the six-year revenue forecast for agency, tracking budget amendments through legislation, and preparation of other analyses and reports as required by various state entities.
