About The Position

The Budget Officer serves as a first-level supervisor in the Chief of Financial Management role, overseeing the financial management office of the Air Force Reserve Command. This position involves planning, directing, and organizing the work of nonsupervisory employees, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures, and managing various financial programs within the organization.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent in other pay systems, including expert knowledge of policies, precedents, and regulations related to financial management.
• Knowledge of resource allocations, fund control procedures, cost estimating, and economic analysis.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct functions and staff.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Develop goals and objectives that integrate organizational and financial management objectives.
• Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
• Provide advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information.
• Conduct analysis, reviews, and special studies of budget and/or related information.
• Manage a variety of other Air Reserve Command financial programs.
• Utilize automated budgetary systems and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments.
