About The Position
The Budget & Coverage Analyst plays a crucial role in the financial management of clinical research at Tampa General Hospital. Under the supervision of the Research Finance Manager or the Lead Clinical Research Budget and Coverage Analyst, this position is responsible for analyzing clinical research budgets and payer coverage. The analyst will create comprehensive coverage analyses and internal budgets for each study, ensuring that all financial aspects are thoroughly evaluated and documented. This role requires a deep understanding of clinical research funding, as the analyst will identify and communicate any funding gaps to management, facilitating timely resolutions to financial challenges. In addition to budget creation, the analyst will coordinate with study teams and ancillary support units to gather pricing information necessary for budget formulation. A critical aspect of this role is maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant billing rules and guidance, which is essential for conducting budget negotiations with industry sponsors, grantors, and other funding sources. The analyst must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and be prepared to complete other related duties as assigned to meet departmental and institutional goals. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that the analyst can effectively contribute to the financial oversight of clinical research projects. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and guidelines, ultimately supporting the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
