About The Position

Amentum is seeking a dynamic and agile Budget Analyst to provide analysis and planning support to the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Operations Directorate at Camp Smith, Hawaii. You will directly support the USINDOPACOM Operations Directorate by assisting in the coordination of budget and travel requirements to allow the Directorate to meet operational requirements. This role will require interface at all levels of the command from newly reporting personnel to senior civilian and military leaders. Essential Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Directorate Resource Manager (RM), provide budget analysis and resource management support. Support division leaders in properly completing Standard Form 182 Authorization, Agreement and Certification of Training, DD Form 1610 Request and Authorization for Temporary Duty Travel of DoD Personnel, in compliance with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) submission of Justification for Actual Expense Allowance (AEA), and other similar funding documents. Analyze quarterly execution status for each Line of Accounting (LOA) the J3 Directorate is responsible for and provide recommendations on the loading of quarterly funds into the appropriate Object Classification Codes, based on current funding obligations, and anticipated requirements for upcoming quarters. Provide budget development input and analysis for the next Fiscal Year (FY) budget, Unfunded Requirements (UFRs) and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submission packages. Provide instruction and guidance to division leaders, as well as assist in the collection and review of annual Budget and semi-annual POM submission information from all the J3 Divisions. Provide backup assistance to Electronic Task Management System (ETMS) Manager for J3 Divisions.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience supporting government travel requirements to include DTS administration and government travel credit card administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience at a Combatant Command, Service Component, TYCOM, or TYCOM support staff.
  • Experience in writing reports, graphics, and information papers.
  • Experience analyzing financial data.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with AI or Language Model (LM) tools.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations.
  • Experience with E-TMS.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities
