About The Position

As a Budget Analyst supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to provide business and financial management support that will contribute to maintaining and expanding the capabilities of homeland security.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of professional experience
  • Experience developing work breakdown structures
  • Experience formulating budgets suitable for submission to senior federal leadership and Congress
  • US citizenship or permanent resident and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing budgets that comply with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Cost Estimating and Assessment Guide

Responsibilities

  • Developing/modifying a work breakdown structure (WBS) dictionary
  • Developing a budget breakdown consistent with the WBS dictionary
  • Resource allocation planning and spend plan development
  • Performance and execution reporting
  • Acting as the budget point of contact for all issues
  • Directly support the team in the development, planning, and coordination of all activities related to development of the budget, WBS, schedule, and milestones
  • Supporting leadership in formulating, interpreting, and applying major financial policies, principles, and procedures in support of future-year planning and cost estimation
  • Creating budgetary presentations that illustrate financial projections, goals, shortfalls, etc. for federal decision-making
