About The Position

South Dakota State University is currently seeking a self-motivated, dependable individual with a readiness to learn to join our team as a Budget Analyst. This position is responsible for assisting campus needs in the areas of finance, budget, and decision-making support. The budget analyst will handle complex data analysis and situations where guidelines may be broadly defined or technical, requiring careful analysis and interpretation of federal, state, and university rules, regulations, and policies.

Requirements

• Knowledge of spreadsheet applications and formulas.
• Knowledge of data management.
• Ability to research, compile, and analyze data with high accuracy.
• Ability to understand and develop budgets, expenditures, and financial forecasts.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to communicate information clearly and accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
