What You'll Do as a Budget Analyst Supervisor Review & approve financial reporting & transactions processed; Manage fiscal branch workflow to ensure accurate, complete, effective & efficient operations of the branch; Consult with grant administrators on cost eligibility, federal requirements & need of state matching funds &/or state appropriations; Coordinate with grant administrators on federal budgets & monitor federal budget progress; Monitor departmental budgets & thresholds & provide updates as needed; Click here to see full position description TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT REQUIRED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASSIFICATION AFTER EMPLOYMENT Not applicable. UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS May be required to work long or unusual hours during budget preparation. This position is essential, meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123\: 1-46-01 & DAS Directive HR-D-11). This position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency. Requirements

  • OPTION 1: Completion of undergraduate core coursework in public finance, public administration or business administration; AND: 36 mos. exp. in fiscal management & control involving use of statistical/quantitative analysis (e.g., probability statistics, linear regression, multiple variable regression, computer assisted regression analysis models, trend analysis, forecasting cost benefits analysis) to formulate, project, adjust & monitor allocations.
  • OPTION 2: -Or completion of graduate core coursework in public finance, public administration or business administration; AND: 24 mos. exp. in fiscal management & control involving use of statistical/quantitative analysis (e.g., probability statistics, linear regression, multiple variable regression, computer assisted regression analysis models, trend analysis, forecasting cost benefits analysis) to formulate, project, adjust & monitor allocations.
  • OPTION 3: -Or 12 mos. exp. as Senior Budget Analyst, 63262.
  • -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
