About The Position

The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for coordinating inventory levels, minimizing outages of merchandise, and identifying excess merchandise within assigned sales areas. This role drives customer experience by improving efficiencies resulting in a tailored customer experience. The position is located in the main store on Buckley Army and Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado, and involves primary duties related to sales floor merchandise, efficient use of in-stock levels, and communication with the buying team.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or the equivalent.
• One year experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Greets each customer upon contact, assesses their needs, suggests alternative options, and provides solution resolution.
• Maintains a welcoming environment, actively engages, and builds trust relationships with customers.
• Drives the customer experience in one or more sales areas by utilizing and adhering to merchandise presentation standards.
• Assists with price changes and shelf labels, executing and maintaining planograms.
• Reviews inventory reports to include merchandise turnover, cyclical counts, promotion items, and slow moving items.
• Alerts management to merchandise not in stock and reports errors/issues.
• Performs all store ordering including vendor orders, customer convenience orders, rain checks, and emergency orders.
• Organizes and maintains stock room merchandise.
• Coordinates returns to vendor.
• Communicates/promotes the benefits of the Military Star credit card and other corporate programs to customers.
• Ensures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
• Practices loss prevention procedures and alerts security and management of potential problems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
