About The Position

What you will do Site Supervision: Acts as the primary on-site leader, ensuring daily, on-site supervision of all trades and laborers to ensure compliance with building plans, specifications, and quality standards. Construction Operations: Manages the entire vertical construction process from foundation to final turnover, ensuring tight, accelerated construction cadences. Trade Coordination: Schedules, manages, and holds subcontractors accountable to safety standards, quality, and project timelines. Quality Control: Conducts daily site walkthroughs, identifies punch list items, and ensures "rent-ready" quality. Safety & Compliance: Maintains a clean, safe, and organized job site; ensures compliance with local building codes and OSHA standards. Project Documentation: Maintains accurate job information using proprietary project management, scheduling, and payment software. Budgeting & Estimating: Works closely with the project Purchasing Agent to assist in developing and maintaining project budgets, variance reports, and subcontractor bids. Vendor Relationships: Works closely with the project Purchasing Agent to manage supplier and trade partner relationships. Team Leadership: Works closely with the Division Director of Construction, the Regional VP of Operations, and the project's Owners to manage performance and accountability. As the business grows, mentor junior staff or assistant superintendents. Process Improvement: Assists in defining operational strategies and standardizing processes. This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in residential construction management (production homebuilding or BTR preferred). Required
  • Hands-on Knowledge: Strong, demonstrated knowledge of all phases of residential construction (framing, MEP, finishes).
  • Regional Experience: Familiarity with West Texas construction conditions, subcontractors, and municipal permitting processes.
  • Skills: Proficient in reading plans, scopes, and project details, and proficient in understanding, daily updating, and management of scheduling software. Ability to learn the nuances of proprietary scheduling and job management software.
  • Highly organized, proactive problem solver
  • Self-starter and capable of working independently in the field.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills. Expected to present confidently to management and third parties
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships both internally and externally
  • Requires a self-motivated team player who pays close attention to detail and can prioritize in a fast-moving environment
  • Effectively envision, develop, and implement processes to advance and manage business goals
  • Takes initiative to identify and anticipate company needs and make recommendations for implementation
  • DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in engineering, construction or related discipline. Preferred
