About The Position

The BSW Operator at Ziply Fiber is responsible for the installation of fiber drops, ensuring safety and compliance with local regulations. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating equipment such as vibratory plow and backhoe.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Understanding of telecom infrastructure and fiber cable tolerances.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with utility locating equipment.
• Knowledge of fiber tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Complete BSW installations including hand digging and equipment operation.
• Manage traffic control and ensure safety in work areas.
• Read service requests and interpret maps for installation.
• Operate company vehicles and trailers for transporting equipment.
• Splice fiber drops and ensure continuity of service.
• Determine and communicate required permits to management.
• Interface with property owners, customers, and city officials at job sites.
• Utilize safety protection equipment and follow company policies.
