The Teresa B. Caine School of Nursing at High Point University seeks a full-time faculty member for our Adult Health (Medical-Surgical) Nursing courses. The ideal candidate will bring strong teaching and clinical expertise to support student success initiatives across the pre-licensure BSN curriculum. This position requires flexibility for evening and weekend teaching and clinical supervision as needed, along with participation in university service activities. The faculty member will teach Adult Health (Medical-Surgical) Nursing courses along with foundational nursing support courses including health assessment, pharmacology, and other core curriculum components under the Dean's guidance. Key responsibilities include direct clinical practicum supervision, clinical skills laboratory instruction, simulation-based learning facilitation, classroom teaching, and development of course assessments aligned with Next Generation NCLEX-RN standards. Additional duties encompass participation in service activities, student recruitment, academic advising, and mentorship of current and prospective students. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional teaching capabilities and substantial clinical background in medical-surgical nursing, with commitment to innovative nursing education and student success.
