The position involves planning, developing, managing, updating, and evaluating all aspects of the nursing program, including budgets, curriculum development, compliance with regulations, and serving as a liaison between faculty, students, and clinical sites.

  • Plans, develops, manages, updates and evaluates all aspects of the nursing program including budgets.
  • Acts as faculty and staff clinical site liaison.
  • Develops and implements curriculum.
  • Ensures program compliance with Board rules and regulations.
  • Advocates for students and develops program policies and procedures.
  • Prepares data and written materials for state and Board requirements.
  • Maintains student and faculty records.
  • Assists in identifying and obtaining outside resources for the nursing program.
  • Organizes and serves on program committees.
  • Oversees admission process and orientation.
  • Writes articulation agreements with nearby colleges.
  • Serves as a liaison between the community and the college.
  • Develops and maintains educational partnerships and contracts with clinical sites.
  • Conducts clinical site evaluations.
  • Meets with clinical faculty or agency representatives to confirm clinical details.
  • Ensures evaluations by students and faculty are conducted and reported.
  • Participates in nursing faculty recruitment, hiring, and orientation.
  • Conducts nursing faculty meetings and maintains records.
  • Participates in conflict resolution for faculty and students.
  • Initiates and maintains community relationships.
  • Monitors quality of instruction and participates in program review.
  • Maintains membership in professional associations.
  • Provides support and degree planning assistance to potential students.
  • Manages student appeals and grievances.
  • Advises and provides academic support to nursing students.
  • Ensures students meet graduation and licensing exam requirements.
  • Conducts Nursing Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Monitors student performance in the program and job placement rates.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Master’s Degree required or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes coursework in Nursing, Education Administration.
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative position.
  • 2 years of teaching experience in pre-or post-licensure nursing programs.
  • 2 years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
  • Must hold a current RN license in the state where the campus is located.
  • Experience in supervision, planning, budget preparation and maintenance required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent skills in oral and written communications.
