About The Position

The Regent Bank BSA Risk Manager will have a strong understanding of financial regulations, emphasizing the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). This position will work closely with the Compliance Officer to ensure all banking regulations are followed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, finance, business administration, legal studies, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in BSA or compliance roles within the banking industry.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of relevant financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends to inform decision-making.
  • All candidates must complete a pre-employment background check, credit check, and drug screening.
  • Must exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Sitting for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to the BSA/AML regulations and related federal and state laws.
  • Conduct and oversee the comprehensive Regent Bank BSA/AML risk assessment, OFAC/Sanctions risk assessment, and identify potential vulnerabilities and emerging risks.
  • Conduct and oversee BSA and OFAC risk assessments for Regent Bank’s Financial Technology (FinTech) companies that partner with the Bank to offer products and services.
  • Perform initial onboarding BSA and OFAC-focused risk assessments for FinTech companies looking to launch products and services through Regent Bank’s Banking as a Service platform.
  • Analyze risk exposure across products, services, customers, and geographies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and organizational goals.
  • Regularly report risk assessment findings and mitigation efforts to senior management.
  • Assist with auditors and examiners to address regulatory examinations and audits.
  • Implement corrective actions to address audit findings or regulatory feedback.
  • Partner with various departments to address risk-related concerns.
  • Stay updated on evolving regulations, industry trends, and best practices in risk management.
  • Work on BSA-related special projects or other job assignments.
