About The Position

The BSA Compliance Officer assists in establishing a compliance program and setting forth internal control standards that ensure ongoing compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act; federal, state, and tribal rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. and one (1) year of gaming experience.
  • Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to promote a cooperative approach between departments.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant gaming issues and regulations of internal controls.
  • Knowledge of suspicious activity reporting methods.
  • Knowledge of Title 31 MTL’s, MIL’s, CTR’s, and SAR’s.
  • Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D.
  • All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights.
  • Must be able to have a flexible and versatile schedule to include weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of customer service and cage experience in gaming preferred.
  • Prior experience with navigating slot accounting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Audits MTL’s and MIL’s Promotions.
  • Assists all departments in training through written and oral methods.
  • Maintains/updates employee testing and files.
  • Title 31 reporting and record keeping.
  • Reviews Title 31 reporting for each designated 24 hour gaming day.
  • Is familiar with suspicious activity reporting methods.
  • Makes diligent efforts to identify suspicious transactions and report such.
  • Responsible for the administration of compliance with all gaming laws and regulations.
  • Investigates and assists in resolving issues of compliance.
  • Documents instances of noncompliance and attempts to obtain any missing information.
  • Able to form and maintain excellent relationships with management and staff.
  • Assists in departmental audits
