About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and efficient delivery driver/order puller to join our team at Woodson Lumber. This role involves preparing, loading, and delivering a variety of lumber and building materials to customer locations while also balancing responsibilities in the retail yard. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Experience in driving large vehicles is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of lumber and building materials is advantageous.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pull and prepare orders for delivery, ensuring that all items match the customer's request and are in good condition.
• Safely load materials onto delivery trucks, ensuring they are securely fastened and organized for efficient unloading.
• Drive to customer locations to deliver orders, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
• Perform basic maintenance checks on delivery vehicles and report any issues to management.
• Assist in inventory counts and maintain a clean and safe work area in the lumberyard.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to improve efficiency and customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.
