About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Paraprofessional to join our educational team at Brookwood Elementary. The ideal candidate will provide support to students in an elementary setting, focusing on their social, emotional, and educational development. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and is looking to make a positive impact on young lives. The Paraprofessional will assist teachers in creating and implementing engaging lesson plans, including activities that promote early childhood education and literacy skills. In this position, you will work closely with students to ensure they are meeting their individual needs, providing targeted support in areas such as math, reading, and writing. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment that promotes a sense of community and respect for all students. Implementing classroom management strategies to minimize disruptions and promote positive behavior will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will participate in curriculum development and assist in the implementation of new teaching methods and materials. Collaboration with teachers to create individualized plans for students who require additional support is essential. You will also maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents. Providing one-on-one support to students with special needs or who require additional attention is a critical aspect of this position. Administrative tasks, such as preparing materials and managing supplies, will also be part of your responsibilities.
