About The Position

Brook Lane Health Services is a setting that provides inpatient care to patients in crisis. The hospital is a 58 plus bed facility to meet the care needs of many mental health diagnoses. Our acute psychiatric hospital provides the most intensive level of care in a safe and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting required.
• Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or a compact state with 'Compact' or 'Multi-State Privilege'.
• CPI certification is mandatory for all clinical staff.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program preferred.
• Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy.
• Basic computer skills required.
• High level of organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide medications, education, group settings and resources while providing a safe and structured environment for the patients served at Brook Lane.
• Work with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans.
• Provide effective skills in communication and become knowledgeable in mental health illness, symptomology and medications.
• Teach patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options, helping them feel supported and informed.
