About The Position

We are seeking a Brokerage Placement Service Representative to join our growing team. How You Will Contribute Respond to retail agent service inquiries (email/phone) within established service-level standards; route complex items appropriately. Process endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, payment status inquiries, and general policy status requests across BOP, GL, WC, and Auto. Issue and deliver Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Insurance, and Auto ID cards; verify accuracy prior to delivery. Access carrier portals to retrieve/process endorsements, audits, and other service items as needed, may quote renewals or rewrite risks as needed. Follow up on open tasks to close in first time-final mode whenever possible. Collaborate with brokers and carrier contacts to resolve service issues and clarify requirements. Escalate non-routine requests or items requiring broker or carrier review. Follow carrier guidelines, state regulations, surplus lines requirements (as applicable to service tasks), and internal procedures. Assist agent in determining the accurate classification of risks to ensure the matching of product to the customer. Determine applicable markets and pre-qualifying risks based upon multiple carrier appetites. May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent insurance work experience.
  • Active P&C and Surplus lines licenses (or ability to obtain within 45 days).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers at all levels.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize daily tasks.
  • Ability to understand, perform, and become proficient with automated and manual technology platforms.
  • 1-2 years commercial lines insurance experience (wholesale or retail); small commercial servicing experience strongly valued (preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Professional designations such as CISR, CIC, CPCU, or equivalent (preferred)
